Shaun the Sheep – Farmageddon (2019)****

Source: Imdb
This stop-motion adventure about extraterrestrials visiting Shaun’s town is adorable and entertaining, and generally way better than the movie with the bunny. The writing is straightforward, but inventive with a love for detail. The comedy is non-violent and endearingly childish. This really did get a few laughs out of me, and had a surprisingly touching (if somewhat predictable) ending.
The visuals were fabulous. I’m not sure how much of this was still done in stop-motion, but it looks awesome. They also demonstrate great attention to detail in this area, including a number of jokes for an older audience with lots of references from X-files to Dr. Who. The soundtrack was good, too. The lack of dialogue means that every person on this planet can enjoy this film. Would recommend. 4/5
